About The author
In my day job I'm a principal software engineer at a computer software security company. Mostly I work on internal, intranet based applications, where the focus is on functionality rather than design appeal. Frankly: it pays but it's not inspiring. For fun and edification, I have created a number of other public facing sites, running on my content management engine, for example www.brandygames.co.uk - graphics courtesy of my buddie Andy, dodgy layout is all mine.
I also have fairly strong views on civil liberties, absurd governmental policies and the environment, so the usual disclaimer applies; " the views expressed here are those of the author and not those of his employer".
About the site
This site was created in Microsoft Expression web - their latest incarnation of a web development tool. It is streets ahead of Front page (I never liked Front page) and is interestingly different to Visual Studio 2005 - which I use at work most of the time.
Visual Studio is aimed at geek techno-heads who need to create applications to work with Terabyte-sized databases and interact with other systems via message queues and remoting technologies. Expression is aimed squarely at the creative luvvies: no offense guys and girls!
